Cariboni group, together with Enel Sole and the municipality of Albisola Superiore, takes part in the winning Italian production chain and contributes to the new lighting in “Eugenio Montale” promenade, called the Walk of Artists, unique in the world of its kind.

Overall, the project is based on conservation and enhancement of the coastal area, between the mouth of Sansobbia to the municipal boundary with Celle Ligure. The coastal area is a landscaping, environmental and economic resource for the city, considered an important tourist centre in Liguria.
The “Walk of Artists”, 800 m long, follows the old track of the abandoned coastal railroad and is characterized by traditional architectural elements, olive trees, palm trees and numerous ceramic works. In 2005, “Onda”, a curved bench of about 250 m², was paved in artistic ceramic tiles, ceramic gres and decorated with polychrome enamels that bring the signature of precious artists. The bench is a work of great effect and artistic value that goes to enrich the heritage of the “open-air museum” of Albisola Superiore.

For the lighting of the promenade, Cariboni provided LED fittings called LEVANTE installed on RAL9003 white tapered poles. One of the first Ligurian promenades lighted by LED source with 3000K color temperature. New lighting, in addition to enhance the architectural elements of the coastal landscape, contributed to improve the reading of urban space and increase the levels of security for the citizen.

The artistic works on the promenade are part of the project called “Wiki Loves Monuments Italia 2016”, the great international photography competition promoted by Wikimedia Italia, dedicated to the protection of cultural heritage. The aim of the initiative is to create a large online photo database that can catalog Italian monuments, even the less well-known, contributing to illustrate new entries on Wikipedia.
